You’re certainly familiar with the KFC trademark, in word or figurative form as well. 🍗™️

And do you know what the internationally known KFC acronym stands for? 🤔

It is Kentucky Fried Chicken! 🐔

The holder of the registration is Kentucky Fried Chicken International Holdings LLC, which recently got into a dispute with Australian burger chain Gryll’d offering healthier fast-food products, which wanted to register the trademark ‘HFC’ that stands for ‘Healthy Fried Chicken’. 🍔

KFC asserted that the considerable visual and aural resemblance of the marks posed a potential risk to its reputation, which was alleged to have been threatened. 😠

The Trade Marks Office in Australia disagreed with KFC and indicated that the marks were neither substantially identical nor deceptively similar. 😮

What is KFC going to do with this? 🤷‍♂️
