🎉 Legal win after 12 years! 🎉

Beyonce recently triumphed in her 12-year legal battle to register a trademark for her daughter’s name, ‘Blue Ivy’. 🌟👑

The decision granting the artist exclusive rights to the name Blue Ivy was announced on 31 December by The Trademark Official Gazette. 📅📰

The registration process was still prolonged due to oppositions to the registration of the ‘Blue Ivy’ mark from, among others, wedding planner Veronica Morales, who runs the company ‘Blue Ivy Events’, as well as a Wisconsin boutique claiming rights to the ‘Blue Ivy’ logo. 💍👗📛

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s decision granting Beyoncé the right to register the ‘Blue Ivy’ trademark puts an end to attempts to commercially exploit her name, and as the teenager’s father Jay-Z has previously explained, protecting his daughter’s name from unfair use by third parties was the goal of the long-running fight to register this trademark. 🛡️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💪
