But this was successfully accomplished by TIffany&Co who registered the colour turquoise referred to as ‚Tiffany Blue’ as a trade mark in 1998.™️🔵💙

Since the company has been using the colour for its goods since the mid-19th century, it was recognised by the Pantone Institute in 2001 as a non-standard colour suitable for use by a reputable brand.

As Andrea Davey, the senior vice president of global marketing at Tiffany’s said, „We are in a rare and enviable position, that consumers recognise the brand simply by seeing the colour-even without any other brand identity.”
