The Trump organization has filed three intent-to-use trademark applications for “President Donald J. Trump International Airport”, “”Donald J. Trump International Airport” and “DJT.” 📋✍️
Why does this matter? While the family says they won’t receive royalties, these filings give them “control” over the brand. This could include everything from the specific fonts and logos used on the building to a wide range of merchandise! 🎨🛍️
There are currently 8 US airports named after presidents, but this is the first time a private company has filed a trademark for a name going on a public, honorary building. 🏢🇺🇸
